A 30-episode TV play serial will be shot in northwest China's Xinjiang Uiyghur Autonomous Region to mark the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Nagri Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR).
The TV play, titled "Nagri, Nagri", reflects the unity among soldiers, cadres and ordinary people of all ethnic groups in the course of liberating and Building Nagri through moving stories of the border guards in Nagri over the past 60 years.
The story begins with the peaceful liberation of Nagri by the advance troops from Xinjiang.
The production team of the TV play serial set up by the Xinjiang Branch of China News Agency in March 2009 interviewed more than 100 people who experienced the liberation in Xinjiang, Gansu, TAR, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hubei, Jiangsu and other provinces of China in 2009.
After several revisions, the play is now undergoing the last modification.
Jiao Rui, director of the Television Art Center of the Political Department of Lanzhou Military Area Command, said this TV play serial would be a masterpiece in China's television circle.
Li Jun, chief playwrightthought it was a new challenge for him to write this play, which moved him to tears many times.
Zhou Yaojie, director of the playurged his team including the performers and workers to throw themselves wholeheartedly into the work and try their best to experience how the characters feel in the play.
