The rock painting stone with 6000 to 7000 years of history is just like a lying buffalo, and vermilion is the main color of the whole painting also with occasional black and yellow.

Recently, a piece of a prehistoric painting on a rock was found in the Gobi Desert near Mo County in Xinjiang. Experts estimated that the painting is about 6,000 to 7,000 years old, Chinanews.com.cn reported.

The rock painting was found by a jade-seller in the Gobi Desert, which is about 120 kilometers away from Mo County. It is well-preserved because it is located at an elevation between 2,000 meters and 2,500 meters, and it is an area where few people travel.

The whole painting on the 4-ton stone consists of more than 90 paintings with simple lines and original thoughts, but all those pictures are delicate in compositions and have lively figures. Most of those paintings are animals, and parts of them also include some mysterious elements.

The stone is just like a lying buffalo, and vermilion is the main color of the whole painting also with occasional black and yellow. One side of the stone is smooth and shinning, while on the other side there are marks made by erosion from dripping water.
