(Tianshannet) Updated: 2011-October-20 15:52:47

After the 7th Party Congress of CPC XJ Committee, XJ's social security system construction got much progress. With the improvement of social security network, XJ people in different ethnic groups have enjoyed the fruits of development and reform.

Till this June, the new type of cooperative medical care system has covered whole XJ. This year, Xinjiang raised the fiscal subsidy to 200 yuan from previous 120 yuan, and maximum payment was increased to 50,000 yuan. Besides, Xinjiang also adjusted the reimbursement proportion in the designated hospitals of different levels.

Xinjiang has been improving the new type of cooperative medical care system and has promoted "all-in-one settlement" card, so as to provide convenience for farmers and herdsmen while they seeing doctors and applying for reimbursement. In the hospital of Huayuan township, Balikun county of Hami prefecture, many farmers and herdsmen come here to apply for "all-in-one settlement" card. The staff workers are busy recording the information of these participants.

"From next year on, the reimbursement part of patients will be cut directly from the treatment fee if they are in the hospitals above prefecture level."

So far, 15 cities and counties in XJ have started to promote the "all-in-one settlement" card. And in 2012, it is expected to cover whole XJ.

In order to make the seniors better enjoy their life, Xinjiang implemented the pilot project of new-type rural endowment insurance since 2009, and realized its whole coverage one year earlier than other parts of China.
