Eight caring enterprises in Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, signed support agreements with the Tianshanxin Homeland Volunteer Service Center on Feb 2, aiming to help more people in need.
Yan Li, secretary-general of the service center, said that according to the agreement, supporters should pay close attention to the living conditions of poor households in the city of Karamay and help them solve their problems in employment and education in the following year.
Ma Junkui, head of Shuangxin Anti-Corrosion and Insulation Company, signed an agreement to support an 18-year-old orphan. "I came to Karamay to start my business 10 years ago. With great help from the local government, I have achieved some success. Today, I want to give back to society and benefit more people. I will pay the boy's college costs and invite him to work in my company after his graduation." Ma said.
The Tianshanxin Homeland Volunteer Service Center is a private non-enterprise organization. All the volunteers have devoted themselves to helping poor families since the service center's foundation.
