Currently, XJ has famed its folklore tour represented by Hami, Turpan, Bayangol and Kashgar, eco-tour represented by Heavenly Lake, Kanas and Bosten Lake and the special tour which has accounted for one fourth of XJ's tourism.
In 2010, XJ received over 30 mln tourists from home and abroad, a new record high, with the tourism income of 28.1 bln yuan, the highest in the past decade. In the first half of 2011, XJ received 13.74 mln tourists, a 35% year-on-year rise.
