Nice Urumqi Co Ltd was recently selected as a green manufacturing demonstrative unit, among first batch of the honor in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, according to the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission on Jan 12.

　　Based at the Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone (Toutunhe district), Nice Urumqi is the only company specializing in daily-use chemical industry that got selected.

　　Its advanced manufacturing technologies on energy saving and emission reduction earned it the title of "green factory".

　　Nice Urumqi's factory is home to the first smart assembly line in Xinjiang region, with a complete industrial network of modern manufacturing equipment. Machines can automatically pour the detergent into the bottles without the involvement of workers.

　　Last year, the company invested 70 million yuan ($10.83 million) in the technical renovation of four assembly lines, improving the output by five times.

　　The waste gas is deducted through bag filter or cyclone dust removal, with 99 percent of the dust gone. The fine powder after the deducting can be recycled for the production of washing powder.

　　The company currently operates 103 products of two varieties: washing powder and liquid detergent, which are all phosphorus-free. In recent years, the company has been using natural coconut oil in producing washing powder to protect water and the environment.

　　The company said that it will continuously develop more green products that meet the demands of consumers. Output value is expected to increase by 20 percent over 2017.

　　Seven companies in Urumqi are put on the list of 36 green manufacturing model companies.
