　　BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Wang Yang, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, met with Iacob Baciu, president of the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS), on Friday in Beijing.

　　Baciu is also the president of the Economic and Social Council of Romania.

　　Calling it an international organization and exchange and dialogue platform with important influence worldwide, Wang said the AICESIS plays a crucial role in promoting exchanges between civilizations.

　　"China will continue to actively participate in and support the work of the AICESIS, and believes that with the joint efforts of its members and organizations, the AICESIS will play a greater role," said Wang.

　　The CPPCC will continue to support cooperation between economic and social councils of the two countries to better contribute to the development of China-Romania ties, said Wang.

　　Meanwhile, Baciu expressed willingness to boost various cooperation between the AICESIS and the Chinese side and play a positive role in developing Europe-China and Romania-China ties.
