Unbeaten Xinjiang beat Jilin 112-107 in CBA

URUMQI, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Xinjiang became the last side to remain unbeaten in the 2019-20 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) after they came from behind to defeat Jilin 112-107 at home on Wednesday night, taking their winning streak to five.

Led by Dominique Jones, Jilin used a 15-4 run to open the game while Xinjiang made eight turnovers in the first quarter.

Xinjiang woke up from their slumber as Kyranbek Makan hit three shots from beyond the arc to cut the deficit, and Zhou Qi chipped in another nine points, including a 3-pointer and two three-point plays, meaning Xinjiang trailed by just a single point at 48-47 going into the second half.

The lead changed hands several times in the third quarter, with Yu Changdong, who knocked down a 3-ball at the buzzer, helping Xinjiang take a 78-77 lead into the fourth.

Jilin's Cui Jinming stunned the crowd by scoring five straight points before Jarnell Stokes dominated the paint and clawed back the deficit.

Tang Caiyu connected on two free throws to lift Xinjiang 110-104 ahead with 25.7 seconds remaining, allowing his side to keep Jilin at arm's length to the buzzer.

Six Xinjiang players were in double digits, while Stokes had a team-high 31 points. Jones contributed a triple-double with 35 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for Jilin.
