China’s Xinjiang donates anti-epidemic medical supplies to Pakistan and Kazakhstan

Tianshannet news: At 12 o’clock on March 27, a batch of medical protective supplies donated by Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to Pakistan completed customs clearance at Khunjerab Pass, a land port in southern Xinjiang's Kashgar prefecture. The donation includes 5 ventilators, 200,000 medical surgical masks, 2,000 N95 masks, 2,000 double-antibody reagent testing kits, and 2,000 medical isolation gowns.

In order to ensure the rapid clearance of medical supplies for epidemic prevention and control, Khunjerab Pass customs engaged concerned competent departments in advance and appointed a special team to track the transportation of the medical supplies throughout the process. On arrival of the donation, a "green channel" was set up immediately to quickly process list checking, machine inspection and final clearance. Khunjerab Pass immigration inspection station also quickly launched an emergency contact mechanism to contact concerned departments in Pakistan for road conditions, personnel and transportation to ensure safe and fast delivery of anti-epidemic medical supplies to Pakistan.

On March 26, 170,000 medical surgical masks donated by Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to Kazakhstan exited via Horgos Pass, a land port in northwest China’s Xinjiang region.
