“Transferring of one million of Altay fat-tailed sheep” Cultural Tourism Festival will be kicked off

Tianshannet news (Correspondent Zhuang Xiaopo): The Altay region of Xinjiang attracts many tourists from home and abroad for its unique tourism resources and beautiful natural environment.

The correspondent learned from the publicity department of Fuhai County on May 25, 2020 that the cultural tourism festival themed “transferring of one million of Altay fat-tailed sheep” will be kicked off on May 30, 2020 in Fuhai County of Altay Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

According to the Director of the Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau of Fuhai County Na Yan, the “Transferring of one million of Altay fat-tailed sheep” Cultural Tourism Festival is composed of several events such as selection of the most beautiful inheritor of traditional culture of livestock transferring, the livestock transferring ceremony, the featured handicrafts manufacturing contest and photography contest, aiming to build the first cultural brand of livestock transferring in China, and meanwhile continuously strengthening “tourism plus” mode to accelerate the integration of tourism with agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery, culture, sports and commerce to promote the high-quality development of Fuhai County's economy.
