'Along China's Expressways' launched in Shanghai as part of CPC centenary celebrations

A special project to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was launched in Shanghai on Tuesday.

"Along China's Expressways" features reporters from a host of Chinese media, including CGTN, traveling the length and breadth of the country to explore the Party's history and changes that have shaped people's lives.

The 22 routes include the Baotou-Maoming Expressway, Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway, Lianyungang-Khorgos Expressway and Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway. The designed routes cover 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.

The journey, which will last until late June, is organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and other departments.
