I am Kamiljan Yusupjan,a Uygur cadre in the Party who was born and having worked in Yili. In recent years, earth-shaking changes have taken place Xinjiang under the leadership by CPC central committee and continuous efforts of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. Unprecedented achievements have been made in economic developments and improvements of people’s livelihood. However, Pompeo attacked the related policies of Xinjiang, caused trouble deliberately and tried to destroy the united and harmonious situation in Xinjiang, fabricated “genocide” and “forced labor” out of his inferior political intentions. I express my strong condemnation and opposition to Pompeo’s gross interference in our internal affairs and grave violation of norms governing international relations.

Lies are still lies no matter how many times they are repeated. Pompeo smeared policies on Xinjiang such as anti-terrorism and de-radicalization efforts out of his evil political intentions. What he did was to connive at terrorism and radicalization instead. The people in Xinjiang are in the best position to tell whether Xinjiang is doing a good job. For quite some time, Xinjiang suffered from the terrorism and radicalization. A lot of people who were unaware of the truth were under brainwash about terrorism and radicalization. Thus they were coerced by the foes and unable to tell right from wrong, which led them set foot in splitting the motherland and destroying national unity. Actually they were also victims. For those who suffered from religious radicalization, the Party Central Committee and government didn’t abandon them. We helped them get rid of radicalization by providing ideological education, skills training and life support. We have pulled back many people from the law-breaking brink and saved a lot of families which were to be broken. During my research trip in the countryside, I was delighted to see these changes. Young people greeted me with enthusiasm and talked about their work and life with me. I can strongly feel the improvement of their spiritual outlooks and yearning for beautiful life. Xinjiang has reported no violent terrorist cases for more than four consecutive years by carrying out the policy of anti-terrorism and de-radicalization and vocational training. Xinjiang has rolled out a series of guidelines, such as free health examination, basic medical insurance, free preschool education, housing project and actions to enrich the residents, to ensure the well-being of people, which helps win praise from people. Especially in recent years, Xinjiang has spared no efforts to make historical achievements in poverty alleviation so that the people could have sufficient food and clothing, as well as access to compulsory education, basic medical services and safe housing. Over 2000 low income families have been lifted out of poverty and at least one family member in each family has found a job. Three poverty counties at autonomous region level have got rid of poverty.

Pompeo is a big liar. He fabricated fallacies about Xinjiang ignoring the current situation of Xinjiang, interfered in Chinese policies and pretended to protect “human rights”, which not only offends all the people in Xinjiang but also goes against the facts and moral conscience. It will meet with objection from all the people in Xinjiang.
