Hostess: Greetings, dear fellow media and reporters! Welcome to the press conference of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. I am Mubarack Mugetti, the host of this press conference.

For some time, the anti-China forces in the U.S. and the West have ignored the great efforts made by the Chinese government to guarantee the equal rights of all ethnic groups, ignored the historic progress in human rights in Xinjiang, distorted the facts, hyped Xinjiang-related issues, in an attempt to tarnish China's image, interfere in China's internal affairs, curb China's development, prosperity and stability in Xinjiang. This not only aroused great indignation and firm opposition from the Chinese nation, including the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, but also drew condemnation from the righteous forces from the international community.

In fact, China takes ethnic equality, ethnic unity and common prosperity and development of all ethnic groups as the basic principles for solving ethnic problems and the basic principles of dealing with ethnic relations, regards the rights to subsistence and development as the primary and basic human rights., ensuring that people of all ethnic groups have equal rights to participation and development. New progress has been made in the cause of human rights in Xinjiang. Today, we are very happy to have Semetti Ahemetti, a large cattle farm owner of Xinhe County in Aksu Prefecture, and Li Xiaolin, head of the animal husbandry cooperative; Mewuranjiang Turson, Internet celebrity of Kashgar Prefecture, and Song Kai, photographer; Zurahan Ruze and his daughter Ayimire Ruze from Laoguang Village of Ruokeya Township, Minfeng County in Hotan Prefecture; Heratti Toyibeck and Zhou Lianlong, citizens of Wusu City in Tacheng Prefecture; Ayiturson Ahemetti, a teacher in Jiashi County, and Yang Qitang, a cadre of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; Ablikmu Ruzi, a farmer of Pishan County, and Zi Guixin, the boss of Agricultural Science and Technology Company, to tell their stories.

Hostess: Xinjiang has been inhabited by many ethnic groups since the ancient time. People of all ethnic groups living in Xinjiang interact closely, depend on each other and share weal and woe together. They have worked together to build Xinjiang, safeguard border stability, national unity and ethnic unity, and promote national development and progress. Semetti Ahemetti, a large cattle farmer of Xinhe County in Aksu Prefecture, and Li Xiaolin, head of the animal husbandry cooperative have been the incarnation of national unity through trust and practical actions. First of all, let's give the floor to Samati Aihamati and Li Xiaolin to tell the story of how they became brothers and realize a well-off life together.

Semetti Ahemetti: Hello everyone! My name is Semetti Ahemetti, a large cattle farm owner of Xinhe County. I am so glad to be here today. I want to tell you a story about my brother Li Xiaolin. We've known each other for more than ten years, and then we worked together to raise cattle. Now we are as close as a family, and our life is getting better and better.

Li Xiaolin: My name is Li Xiaolin. I am 59 years old. I own an animal husbandry cooperative and have more than 2,000 mu of land for planting. I’m a big farm owner of planting and breeding in our area. Over the past few years, I have helped 54 poor households get rid of poverty. I came to know the Semetti brothers through raising cattle.

Semetti Ahemetti: I often go to the county to buy cattle and sell cattle, so that my brother and I become familiar with each other. The village where we two lived was more than 40 kilometers away. Once, when my brother's cow was sick, he called me to ask for advice. Since I know breeding with my parents since childhood, I was more experienced than him, so I went to his place. When I got to my brother's house and saw that he had such a breeding farm, I was both envious and excited. I thought that if one day I could raise a lot of cattle and earn a lot of money, how good it would be! After doing him a favor, he insisted on giving me money, but I refused. I told him I wanted to be engaged in cattle business just like him. Unexpectedly, he immediately agreed. In the following days, he began to help me in various ways, bringing me new business and profitable projects.

Li Xiaolin: Through several contacts, I found that Semetti was an expert in the field of breeding. Sometimes when the cows were sick or there were some emergencies that I could not solve, he would come to help. In the interaction, I found that he was very warm-hearted and eager to learn. Besides, he was a very polite person, so I wanted to cooperate with him.

Semetti Ahemetti: Especially in the winter of 2013, I bought a cow in the county. The cow looked good, but I didn't have enough money. I was so anxious that I didn't know what to do. After thinking it over, I tried to turn to brother Li. Guess what, he agreed to help and then handed me the cash right then and there. Out of expectation,, I yelled excitedly: “ my brother, I guarantee to return your money within 3 months, now, let me write an IOU”. Unexpectedly, the elder brother waved his hand and said to me: “it is necessary to write an IOU, everyone has a hard time”. So I bought the cow as I had hoped. When my wife learned about this, she said to me repeatedly: “This is the same trust as a family member. In the future, we should also help brother, and we should not let your brother down”.

Li Xiaolin: Yeah, trust is what we have between us.

Photo shows Li Xiaolin (first from the left) with the family of Semetti Ahemetti.

Semetti Ahemetti: After this incident, I felt that our ties became closer. When I was free, I would take my wife and children to their house, eating and working together. Sometimes I was too busy to return my home, so we lived together, just like a family.

Li Xiaolin: Indeed, over the years, we went to Shihezi, Altay and Yili to buy cattle and sheep. In 2018, he joined my cooperative, and we taught the farmers in the village to make money. We share dividends together. We would leave our business to take care of each other’s parents when they were ill. We were like a family, which was also known in the local area. I was born and raised in Southern Xinjiang. I have been speaking Uygur since I was a child. What I said just now I will tell you in Uygur so that you can see weather I am authentic.

Semetti Ahemetti: My life is getting better and better. I used to earn two or three hundred thousand yuan a year at most. After joining his cooperative, I made more than one million yuan in two years, which had made a big difference in our quality of life, in my thinking, and with more and more energy and motive. My brother is my role model, especially after he became a big cattle farmer in the local area, we decided to help the villagers together, to help more people.

Li Xiaolin: Now, Semetti's breeding business is getting more and more prosperous. We started to help other villagers to get rich together. More and more villagers around us are heading to a better life. We are all very happy. I also brought a video for you to watch.

Semetti Ahemetti: After all these years, the tie between my brother and I is beyond words. I just want to tell you that Xinjiang is a very lovely place. When we are together, there is no difference between you and me. We are all a warm family. Those anti-China forces in the U.S. and the West are talking nonsense, they just want to smear our hometown Xinjiang, sow discord among us, which is impossible and ridiculous. Your nonsense can fool no one. Xinjiang is a pretty good place, please keep your mouth shut. You are in no position to be judgemental to our life.

Hostess: Thank you, Semetti Ahemetti and Li Xiaolin for telling us. In the big family of the motherland, all ethnic groups respect and trust each other, learn from each other and cooperate with each other. It was in this atmosphere that Mewuranjiang Turson, Internet celebrity of Kashgar Prefecture, and Song Kai, photographer, made friends from all over the country and attracted netizens from all over the country to visit Xinjiang. Next, let's invite Mewuranjiang Turson and Song Kai to tell their stories.

Photo taken on August 13, 2021 shows Mewuranjiang Turson(right) and Song Kai(left) speak together at the special press conference of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on ethnic unity.

Mewuranjiang Turson: Hello everyone! My name is Mewuranjiang Turson, I’m 27 years old. I am a native of Xinjiang, and my home is in Kashgar. I have fallen in love with Xinjiang food since I was a child. In the process of recording videos and sharing food, I have gained more than 700,000 followers. Because of my special eyebrows, everyone calls me "Kashgar Thick Eyebrow Brother". I not only registered my own culture company, but also made a good brother, Song Kai. We have a lot in common, such as hobbies. Besides, we also know a lot of friends outside Xinjiang. I like it very much when they come to visit my home.

Song Kai: Hello everyone! My name is Song Kai, I’m 28 years old. I was born in Kashgar and raised in Kashgar. I have become crazy about photography since my childhood. I want to record and promote the beauty of Xinjiang through the lens. I met Mewuranjiang at a party and we kind of hit it off right away. So I quit my job and joined his company.

Mewuranjiang Turson: In the past four years, Song Kai and I had worked and studied together, just like a family. Whoever found anything delicious, useful, or interesting, we would share it with each other. We both like photography and food, and we share the same ideal and goal, that is to spread the positive energy of Xinjiang through the lens, and to record and explore the local customs and folk culture of Xinjiang through photographing .

Song Kai: Both of us were born in 90s. Mewuranjiang is as enthusiastic as a fire, while I am a little introverted. If he is a hot summer, then I am a mature autumn. When we are together, we are like the spring which brings warmth to people around us. Now, looking for food and taking pictures of food have become part of our lives, we want to promote our hometown in this way so that more people can get to know more about Xinjiang.

Photo shows Mewuranjiang Turson(first from the right ) and Song Kai(second from the right) are working.

Mewuranjiang Turson: When at work, Song Kai thinks more than I do. Once grasping some details, he would exchange ideas with me before we can produce satisfactory works together. In life, we both are foodies. We are addicted to night market barbecue, beer and kvass. I owe my current success to his help. He would follow my idea and support me from behind. He has devoted himself into taking on some subtle tasks, such as conception, scripting, editing, and so on. In order to finish work, he often works overtime until late night, and he never complained. Sometimes, I would invite some fans from outside of Xinjiang and netizens to visit my house., Since my wife has her own work, I can't manage to entertain my guests by myself. Song Kai would run back and forth to help me. After sending guests away, he helped mop the floor and cleaned up the house. He was really like a family member of mine.

Song Kai: At work, we sometimes have frictions over trivial, but we can reach an agreement in no time. Now, we are in a tacit understanding, just a glance, we would know what each other want to do. He likes to express himself while I am willing to listen, When we run into differences, we will neutralize our thoughts and find a perfect balance.

Mewuranjiang Turson: I really love making friends. I made lots of friends from all over the world by sharing short videos, including those from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. We interacted on the Internet every once in a while and I invited some to my home. When they came, I would spare my time to go traveling with them. Last year, several fans from Shanghai came to Xinjiang, and I entertained them. That day was also a day for my good brother’s wedding, I took my fans to the wedding. They were very excited. We ate and danced together, and we had a great time. We gave each other gifts as souvenirs when we departed. In the Tik Tok, some netizens, after watching my video, attracted by Kashgar’s delicacy and local culture, came to Kashgar all the way from Beijing. I invited them to come to my house as guests. We cooked various Xinjiang food. We ate big chunks of meat and drank together. It was as happy as a holiday, and we had a enjoyable conversation. They also brought pearl earrings to my wife from their hometown, and we were also very moved. I made a video of our meeting, please take a look at it.

Song Kai: Mewuranjiang’s enthusiasm can influence people around him, and I should be the one who has the most say about it. I remember that when we first met, I was not used to eating yogurt cheese. He ate it in front of me and said that he grew up by eating yogurt cheese and yogurt cheese was nutritious. At first, I didn’t want to eat them, but it seemed extremely yummy. I couldn’t help but chewed slowly. Later, when I was with him, I gradually fell in love with this kind of food. Looking back at it now, I still find it interesting.

Mewuranjiang Turson: In the past few years, more and more fans have known us through videos. They are very willing to travel to Xinjiang. Of course, I also went to their cities. Fans entertained me, they took me to eat seafood and hotpot. They also showed me around tourist attractions. Although everyone is in different cities, the Internet has brought us closer. To be united in this way, I think it makes a lot of sense.

Song Kai: Yes, when we are all together, there is no disharmony and it feels like we have known each other for a long time. We get to know each other’s living habits through food, which is also a kind of cultural integration. We have formed a close tie, thinking of each other all the time. As time goes by, the understanding that nothing can separate us has been deepened. This is what we are proud of and happy about.

Mewuranjiang Turson, Song Kai: Recently, we have seen some western media slander Xinjiang, which is simply nonsense. This is obviously a deliberate attempt to destroy our current harmonious and peaceful life. You scoundrels, put away these boring tricks quickly! You see we are united like a family, which causes your jealousy! We are very united and friendly, and no one is allowed to discredit and spread rumors!

Hostess: Thanks Mewuranjiang Tursun and Song Kai for their sharing. In recent years, Xinjiang has deepened the promotion of “national unity as a family” and other social events relating to national unity, which has effectively promoted the exchanges between cadres and employees of all ethnic groups as well as the grass-roots people in terms of communication, caring for and helping each other, as well as dealing with difficulties, which deepens our mutual understanding and enhances our ties. They hug together tightly just like pomegranate seeds. Next, please give the floor to Zurahan Ruze and his daughter Ayimire Ruze in Laoguang Village, Ruokeya Township, Minfeng County, Hotan Prefecture to tell us the touching story between them and Jiang Xiaohong.

Photo taken on August 13, 2021 shows Zurahan Ruze(right) and her daughter Ayimire Ruze speak together at the special press conference of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on ethnic unity.

Ayimire Ruze: Hello everyone, my name is Ayimire Ruze, I'm 15 years old and I live in Laoguang Village, Ruokeya Township, Minfeng County. Five years ago, Jiang Xiaohong became my “godmother”. She brought us warmth like the spring breeze. She is my role model. We are very happy when we are together. We have promised to be mother and daughter for a lifetime. My goal is that when I grow up, I will become an excellent person like mother Jiang! Mother Jiang was sick and did not come to the scene today and I will play a video about us.

Zurahan Ruze: Hello everyone! My name is Zurahan Ruze. In October 2016, when my daughter was 9 years old, Jiang Xiaohong and my colleagues came to my house. When we met for the first time, we all felt a little bit awkward and didn’t know what to say at first. She took out a lot of candies and snacks and shared them with my two children. Then, we talked more. In the evening, she also helped me cook, and I felt that she was a very nice person.

Ayimire Ruze: I feel mother Jiang is a very frank person and she always speaks loudly, while I am very timid. The first time we met, I hid behind my mother. Then, she squatted down to talk to us and took out a lot of gifts from her bag, including candy, chocolate, extracurricular books, and my favorite doll. At night, by the fire, she put my brother and me in her arms and told us fairy tales.

Zurahan Ruze: In the morning, she and her colleagues got up very early, rolled up their sleeves and worked with us on farm work, and cooked with us in the evening. When getting along with each other, she quickly learned about our family’s preferences. Knowing that I like to eat pilaf, my husband likes lagman(pulled noodles), and my son can’t eat spicy food, she would cook our favorite meals according to our preferences and give us a red envelope at every festival.

Photo shows Jiang Xioahong(first from the right) with the family of Zurahan Ruze.

Ayimire Ruze: Over the years, mother Jiang has given a lot to our family. In spring, she accompanies mom and dad to grow vegetables, build grape trellis, and clean up the yard; in summer, we go weeding and harvest crops together; in autumn, she breaks off corn cobs and picks walnuts with us; in winter, she pays to buy coal for us. No matter how big or small the festival is, she will prepare gifts for our whole family.

Zurahan Ruze: Jiang Xiaohong bought us clothes, pants, and socks when New Year came, needless to say the school supplies and new clothes throughout the year. And she buys me eye cream and facial mask every year and my husband’s facial cleanser and electric razor are given by her. Jiang Xiaohong also helped us find a job, and helped me get a job in a shoe factory so that I have a stable income every month. My husband also works as a carpenter during the slack season. Through our hardworking, the life for the whole family is getting better and better.

Ayimire Ruze: In life, she doesn’t let us treat her special and can’t regard her as a “guest”, especially after my mother went to work in the shoe factory last year. Mother Jiang said that mom and dad should not ask for leave because of her arrival, so that they can earn money as usual. Several times, it was mother Jiang who came to our house for interacting, but when mom and dad returned home after working, they ate the meals made by mother Jiang. It was an extremely happy occasion for our family.

Zurahan Ruze: She has helped us a lot over these years. The whole family likes her very much. My daughter makes video chat with her once in a while. She comes to our house for bonding. No matter how late it is, I would cook the food myself and went out to meet her at the intersection before her arrival. I feel that we are as inseparable as relatives.

Ayimire Ruze: Mother Jiang and I like purple. I like to sleep with the purple stuffed doll she gave me. I especially enjoy the feeling of being in her arms. She combed and braided my hair, telling me the truth of life, and encouraging me to go to a good university in the future. When I have the ability, I shall help those in need, just like her.

Zurahan Ruze: Recently, I have seen some western media on the Internet deliberately fomenting discord, saying that there is “genocide” in Xinjiang, which is simply too shameless! You should come and take a look. We live in a big family of unity and love. There is no such ridiculous nonsense that you fabricated. Please stop this kind of immoral behavior.

Hostess: My appreciation goes to Zurahan Ruze and Ayimire Ruze for their statement. With the economic and social development, the exchanges between various ethnic groups in Xinjiang have been growing, and mutual understanding and friendship have been built up at work, in study, entertainment and daily life. In Wusu city, Tacheng Prefecture, there is a cradle shared by 27 children of 4 ethnic groups, which carries the beautiful memories of many people. Heratti Toyibeck and Zhou Lianlong are good brothers who have shared this cradle. They take care of each other in their daily life, helping and supporting each other when faced with difficulties. Next, let’s give the floor to Heratti Toyibeck and Zhou Lianlong to share with us their stories.

Photo taken on August 13, 2021 showsHeratti Toyibeck (right) and Zhou Lianlong speak toghther at the special press conference of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on ethnic unity.

Heratti Toyibeck: I'm Heratti Toyibeck, from Wusu, Tacheng Prefecture. I'm very happy to be here today and it is a pleasure to meet everyone. And this is my good friend and brother Zhou Lianlong. We two families have been neighbors for more than 50 years.

Zhou Lianlong: Hello everyone! My name is Zhou Lianlong. Halang (Heratti’s nickname) and I grew up together. We and my twin brothers shared the same cradle when we were kids.

Heratti Toyibeck: Look, here is the cradle I shared with Zhou Lianlong and Zhou Haiyang. There are some stories about this cradle. There are 27 people who have shared this cradle if we count in my 6 siblings, and the 27 people are from different ethnic groups including Uighur, Han, Kazak and Hui. Now the oldest of them is 48 years old and the youngest is 3 years old, including my daughter.

Photo taken on August 13, 2021 shows Heratti Toyibeck (right) and Zhou Lianlong show the cradle at the special press conference of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on ethnic unity.

Zhou Lianlong: When Heratti's grandfather was young, he especially asked someone to make the cradle. At that time, the bed was a "treasure" in our village, because it is of great help in terms of taking care of children. Therefore, whoever had a newborn would go to Halang's house to borrow the cradle.

Heratti Toyibeck: Time goes by, this cradle has become a bond of affection to our village. And now it is back in my house again. Even my son grew up on this shaker, too. So every time I see this cradle, it always reminds me of the old memories. I am one year older than Zhou Lianlong and his brother. As soon as I could walk, they began to sleep in the cradle, that is why they can be called as my "successor to the cradle". We've been playing together since our childhood. During the busy farming season, we "set up a team" to help our families with farm work; During the slack season, we had snowball fights, played hide and seek, rolled the hoops and kicked sandbags, we just stayed together everyday.

Zhou Lianlong: Back then, we were just as naughty as monkeys, jumping and running all day long. I still remember that in the hot summer of 1989, Heratti was running around in a pair of thick green sneakers. My mother grabbed him and gave him a pair of cloth shoes made by herself. Unexpectedly, this guy said to my mother, "Auntie, can I call you godmother in the future? because I want to wear your shoes all the time. " My mother couldn't help laughing and said yes at once.

Heratti Toyibeck: Yes, I can still remember that cloth shoes which were so comfortable to wear. But it never occurred to me that my godmother made cloth shoes for me for ten years from then on. In 1999, my mother died of a sudden cerebral hemorrhage. It is the same year that I was enlisted to be a soldier in Korla. Two days before I left, I went to say goodbye to my godmother and her families. She was afraid that I would be too upset when he had to leave my mother. So she kept comforting me, and told me to behave and exercise well in the military. Then she asked me not worry about things at home, because in the future, she would be my mother. And she would always have meals prepared for me when I returned.

Zhou Lianlong: At that time, my mother was afraid that Heratti would be troubled by sorrows and feel pressure in the army. So she was so worried every day. The second year after Heratti joined the army, my mother began to talk about all day long that she wanted to see if Heratti was fine.

Heratti Toyibeck: One day, I got a call from Zhou Lianlong in the army. It was until then that I knew my godmother had been thinking about me and was worried that I need time to adapt to the life in the army. That is why I called my godmother immediately and told her that I was fine and even praised. Later, as soon as I had time, I would call Zhou Lianlong and tell him about my recent life so as to reassure my godmother.

Photo shows Heratti Toyibeck (right) and his godmother.

Zhou Lianlong: On the New Year's Day of 2004, Heratti suddenly showed up in front of us in a military uniform and two bags of dried apricots. Then we knew that he specially asked for a family leave so as to come back to see my mother. He knew that my mother liked dried apricots, which made my mother so happy. My mother held his face and said: “My child has grown stronger, much stronger”.

Heratti Toyibeck: By the end of 2004, I finished my service in the military and went back home. And godmother began to care about my marriage, because Zhou Lianlong and his brothers have all had their family now. However, I was 25 years old and even had no girlfriend. But then in 2009, I got married. Godmother attended my wedding as my mother and gave me the best wishes in the world.

Zhou Lianlong: Heratti has funded his own family, which also fulfilled my mother’s wish. In 2010, Heratti 's son was born. Two years later, my son was born. And our children continue to share this cradle. The two little brothers are inseparable and stay together every day, which is just the younger version of Heratti and me. And I filmed a video of them, please have a look.

Heratti Toyibeck and Zhou Lianlong: We two families share fried dough twists and moon cakes every year when it comes to the festivals; We would send zongzi to each other on the Dragon Boat Festival, eat dumplings during the Spring Festival and post couplets together. But recently, I heard that the anti-China forces in the United States and the West slandered China for committing "genocide" in Xinjiang and stated that our ethnic minorities were "oppressed". It was nothing but a vicious lie. We different ethnic groups live together under the same roof and enjoy a very comfortable and happy life, just like a family. Those who smear Xinjiang have no right to speak on our happy life, they should just shut up !

Hostess: My appreciation goes to Heratti Toyibeck and Zhou Lianlong for their sharing. In recent years, the great number of cadres who become relatives with ethnic minorities have shared weal and woe with the general public so people can meet their actual needs in production and life such as employment, schooling and medical treatment. And that is why these work have been warmly embraced by people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. Next, let's invite Ayiturson Ahemetti, a teacher in Jiashi County, and Yang Qitang, a cadre of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, to tell their stories.

Photo taken on August 13, 2021 shows Ayiturson Ahemetti (left) and Yang Qitang speak toghther at the special press conference of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on ethnic unity.

Ayiturson Ahemetti: Hello, everyone! My name is Ayiturson Ahemetti. I'm 25 years old. And I work as a teacher in Jiashi County. My brother and sister have both got married and have their own family. As for me, I live with my father and mother. And the gentleman next to me is father Yang.

Yang Qitang: Hello everyone! My name is Yang Qitang. I am the First Secretary of Kerekash Village, Jiangbazi Township, Jiashi County. In the year of 2018, I became relatives with Ahemetti Wushouer's family. Ayiturson Ahemetti is a diligent child who have been lively and cheerful. She always calls me Father Yang every time she sees me. When she graduated from university the same year, I encouraged her to stay in the county and give full play to her professional expertise. Later, she did find a stable job in the county.

Ayiturson Ahemetti: Now I have a stable job and I am living a very happy life. All of this are because Father Yang helped me contact the employers. In addition to these, Father Yang has been caring about our family's income. Every time he came to our house, he would do anything to help with us. First, he helped my family apply for the courtyard economic project and made use of the unused area of our yard. He planned vegetable in the garden, grew fruit trees and set up grape trellis with us; He also built a government-subsidized house for my family and paid for tables, chairs, sofas and tea tables for our family. Now, my yard is clean and flat. When the sun is good, we can dry some vegetables in the yard. In winter, we can stew them with meat, which is especially delicious.

Yang Qitang: Every time I go to her house and look at the open space in the yard, I would feel it a pity. Planting some vegetables and fruit trees is better than leaving it empty. So, I applied for 10,000 yuan of courtyard economic subsidy for them. Besides, according to their family situation, they can also have a subsidy of 38,500 yuan to build a government-subsidized house, which is the policy that they can enjoy. Considering that Ayiturson's parents were too old and they always wanted to open a small shop. I found a shop for them in the village-run entrepreneurship market and applied for a reduction of rent for three years. We have also brought a video. Please have a look.

Ayiturson Ahemetti: Father Yang helped us find the shop which has increased our family's income and changed our living environment. Besides, there’s also one thing that I would like to mention: One day, my father suddenly had his stomach bleeding, and our family was panicked. It was Father Yang who rushed to contact the doctor, sent my father to the hospital, and went through the hospitalization procedures in a hurry. He stayed with us until 4:30 am in the hospital rushing everywhere for help. At that time, I was particularly moved. Later, after leaving the hospital, Father Yang helped us complete the post recovery reimbursement procedures. He cared and encouraged me like one of his family. Since then, I have always called him Father Yang.

Photo shows Ayiturson Ahemetti (left) and Yang Qitang make use of the unused area of the yard.

Yang Qitang: Usually, I would go to their house to sit and chat, and go around and have a look in the front yard and back yard. Whenever festivals come, they would ask me to go to their house to eat freshly-fried Sanzi( dough twists), and they would also keep the best fruit planted in the yard for me. I always keep these things in mind. As for your gratitude, child, since I am a relative of your family, your family's business is my business. There is no need to say thank you to me. That is just what I should do.

Ayiturson Ahemetti: In addition to our family, Father Yang has also helped many other villagers. He helped them find ways to make money, and made everyone live a good life. This is the arched shed area of our village; This is the entrepreneurial market of our village; Here is the jujube garden that has an area of a hundred mu in our village; This is the new plum garden that has an area of a thousand mu in our village.

This is our home-grown Jiashi melon. Please have a try.

Photo taken on August 13, 2021 shows people eat Jiashi melon at the special press conference of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on ethnic unity.

Now father Yang is a good example for me to follow. I wish to educate every child well in the school, let them study hard, and then become people who care for others, appreciate our society and pursue further progress when they grow up. Why do the U.S. and Western anti-China forces slander our Xinjiang having "genocide" and say that our ethnic minorities are "oppressed". We care about each other. We are closely co-related. And we give each other warmth and love from the bottom of our hearts. I think my story is enough to break those rumors.

Hostess: Thank you. Ayiturson Ahemetti and Yang Qitang for sharing their stories. Xinjiang adheres to the development idea of "taking the people as the center". Its economy and society have developed rapidly. The efforts of people's livelihood construction and investment have continued to increase. All ethnic groups have equal development opportunities. Ablikmu Ruzi: Hello everyone! My name is Ablikmu Ruzi. I'm 36 years old. I'm from Pishan County of Hotan Prefecture. Now I work for an Agricultural Science and Technology Company in Pishan county. Today, I will tell you a story about me and my Brother Zi.

When I graduated from school, because my parents didn't want me to be too far away from home, I chose to work at home with my parents with meager income. In 2009, I got married, and then I started to truly feel the pressure of life. Seeing that others were all going out for work to make money, I began to feel upset. Then, in December 2009, I met Brother Zi, who owned a company here. He was very kind. After knowing my situation, he offered me a job and promised to raise his salary as long as I could do the job well. I was very moved. It was brother Zi who gave me the courage to go out and make money, and he also gave me the opportunity to change the situation of my life.

I thought that finding a suitable job and meeting a big brother who trusts me was a good blessing. So, I work hard every day. When I met problems that confused me, I would ask the people around me for help and I would learn from them at the same time. I was supposed to pay for the training which helped me master my skills, but it was paid by my Brother Zi. With continuous learning, I moved from an ordinary worker to a professional technician, with a monthly salary of more than 6,000 yuan. I am now very happy, and my family is also happy about it.

What moved me most was that when my second child was about to be born, he came to my house with rice, noodles, oil and meat to let me take a paid leave so that I could take good care of my wife at home. Also, when the child was almost one year old, one day, my wife said to me, "Our family depends on you to make money now. But how could you manage it when the two children grow up? I also want to go out and work with you to make money. " I know what my wife was thinking, but I was embarrassed to talk about this over with Brother Zi, because I knew the company had no vacancy.

Before long, I went to work in the company as usual, but Brother Zi suddenly said to me that the company also had a vegetable greenhouse that needed to be managed by someone. He asked me if I had a suitable candidate. At that time, I wondered if he was mistaken because all the greenhouses were managed. But he told me for sure that there was no mistake. He just needed to hire someone to take care of it. At that moment, we looked at each other, and we both laughed. So, that was how my wife came to join our company.

In 2017, my mother suddenly fainted and was hospitalized because of high blood pressure and heart disease. After a period of treatment, she didn't get better. The doctor suggested that we go to Urumqi for better treatment. When I was worried about money, Brother Zi gave me 30,000 yuan and asked me to transfer my mother to Urumqi for treatment. With the help of Brother Zi, my mother's treatment went on very smoothly. Now she can live a normal life and all of my family is very grateful to him.

Later, he also helped my wife and I apply for an 85 square meter house near the company, equipped with household appliances and daily necessities. He even arranged a car from the company to facilitate us to go home to visit our parents. Our hearts are full of gratitude. We must work hard in the company and not let Brother Zi down.

Today, I also invited Brother Zi to the spot. Let’s welcome Brother Zi.

Zi Guixin: Hello everyone! I’m Zi Guixin, the Brother of Ablikmu.

This young man is very simple and diligent. At the beginning, his job was to help grow vegetables in the greenhouse, regularly check the condition of the greenhouse and hoe grass. These were his specialties in the past. He treated his work very seriously. If he doesn't know how to deal with some problems, he would consult the people around him. In order to let him master more technologies, I also sent him to the city to study electrician and agricultural management technology. At that time, he also worked very hard and seriously.

Two years ago, when his second child was almost one year old, I saw that his wife wanted to find a job. Ablikmu was working so hard and his wife was also a diligent person. I was his brother anyway. So, if I didn't help him, who else could?

I still remember another time when Ablikmu asked me why I was so kind to him. I didn't know how to answer, "There's no ‘why’. No ‘why’ at all. I'm your brother. We are close as a family and that’s just what I should do". Unexpectedly, his eyes were swelling with tears at that time. It's in this way of how emotional connections are built through different contacts among people.

Ablikmu Ruzi: Today, we have also brought you a video. Please have a look.

We have known each other for 12 years. With every single help, Brother Zi and I got closer and closer, and then we became as if relatives. Now, my wife and I have a stable job with an annual income of more than 100,000 yuan. We have moved from a small house to a spacious and comfortable building and bought a car. Our family has a well-off life. I want to say: Brother Zi, my good brother, thank you so much! Here, I want to tell those people who spread rumors abroad to discredit our Xinjiang and the unity of our ethnic groups that your lies can not affect us at all, nor can you hinder the development of our Xinjiang!

Hostess: My Thanks goes to Ablikmu Ruzi and Zi Guixin for sharing their stories. Thanks again for all the speakers’ sharing. Facts speak louder than words. China's determination to safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests and to safeguard the development, stability and national unity of Xinjiang is unwavering. We advise the anti-China forces in the United States and the West to respect the facts and stop the clumsy trick of using attacks to discredit Xinjiang for political self-interest. In recent years, Xinjiang has deepened the establishment of national unity and progress, and actively helped the people of all ethnic groups solve the problem of "urgent difficulties and worries". All ethnic groups have made extensive and comprehensive exchanges, as well as in-depth integration. We have also been constantly enhancing the "Five Recognition" while forging a strong sense of a community for the Chinese nation. We all hug tightly together like pomegranate seeds, and unite a strong joint force for common unity to struggle for common prosperity and development. We welcome more people from various countries to visit Xinjiang. Seeing is believing. The rumors will eventually be scotched!

That's the end of today's press conference. Thank you, dear speakers and media reporters!
