A calibration flight has been completed at the newly-built Zhaosu Tianma Airport in the Yili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Construction of the civil airport started in September 2019.
Airport's tower, runway, apron have been ready for use.
Interior decoration and equipment installation in the terminal building are still underway.
The airport is expected to handle 200,000 passengers and 600 tonnes of freight each year.
It will largely improve local transportation and boost regional connectivity.
