So adorable! Gray Partridges forage in snow in Toli County, NW China’s Xinjiang

In recent days, some gray partridges are found at the Gobi Desert around Toli County in Tacheng Prefecture, northwest China’s Xinjiang. Flocks of little birds stay down on the desert covered with white snow, sometimes burrow their heads into snow to forage, sometimes look up into the distance, showing their adorable appearance. Gray partridge is a kind of gray-brown quail, which is lively and skilled at running and hiding. Although flying in a straight line with rapid wingbeats, they always fall into meadows and shrubs after a short distance. Grey Partridges mainly feed on green twigs, leaves, shoots, buds, fruits and seeds of herbs and shrubs. In China, they are only distributed in the Tacheng Prefecture and the Junggar Basin in northwest Xinjiang, which is a kind of uncommon resident bird. (Correspondent: Chang Dianxue)
