Host: Hello, fellow media reporters! Welcome to the press conference of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. I’m Hailatti, the host of this press conference.

Children are the hope of a family. Preschool education is a project of the future. Over the years, Xinjiang has implemented the development of preschool education by observing the requirement of “leaving no kindergarten or child behind”. Village kindergartens are built and children of age are enrolled as much as possible so that all the children of farmers and herdsmen have access to modernized preschool education and childcare.

Xinjiang offers children in the four prefectures in southern Xinjiang three years preschool education for free. On the one hand, it has realized full coverage of children of age in the kindergartens. They learn the Standard Spoken and Written Chinese Language, listen to and speak it to have a good basis in learning when they go to primary schools. On the other hand, it has relieved more families, especially those in the rural areas of financial burden.

For some time, the anti-China forces in the United States and several western countries concoct lies and fallacies for the ulterior motive of defaming the image of Xinjiang, China in the international arena as a pretext for their sinister plot of “containing China through Xinjiang” regardless of the great benefits of the development of education that has brought to people of all ethic groups in the region.

The fact is that Xinjiang pays close attention to education and insists on prioritizing its development. All levels and types of education have achieved higher levels of popularity and higher quality development, and the overall level of education is at the best and fastest development stage in history. In recent years, Xinjiang has kept increasing its investment in education and implementing education projects persistently for the benefits of people. Every village in Xinjiang has a kindergarten and it provides children with free breakfast and lunch. Full coverage of free three year preschool education in rural areas is realized. By the end of 2020, the gross enrollment rate of preschool institutions reached 98.19% and popularity indicators of preschool education are in the first batch around the country.
