The Baili Danxia scenic road is the most colorful section of the S101 Provincial Highway. The landform here is the zone of earthquake fractures and wind erosion, and all kinds of rocks and loess form the colorful Danxia canyon scenery along the way. The Highway S101, starts from the fork of Xishan Farm of National Highway 216, which is more than 20 kilometers south of Urumqi City, and ends at the Bayingoukou of Dushanzi, with a total distance of about 300 kilometers.
