The lively scenery of hoopoe foraging at the field in Xinjiang

In summer, Baiyanghe Township of Mulei Kazak Autonomous County in Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China’s Xinjiang, is full of greenery. Photographers take pictures of a group of hoopoe foraging in a vegetable field, which is vivid and interesting. Hoopoe has a fetching crest on its head, and it shuttles between vegetables and grass to catch insects dexterously.

Hoopoes like to forage in open areas, cultivated fields, orchards in mountainous areas or plains. They mainly eat insects and can be found almost everywhere of the country. (Correspondents: Li Ruishan, Zou Rongnian)
