Shiliuyun/ Xinjiang Daily (Correspondent Shi Xin): On August 12, 2022, the reporter learned from the Food and Strategic Reserves Administration of Xinjiang that at present, the grain and oil are in full stock, the reserve is sufficient, and the supply is abundant in Xinjiang.

At present, there are 5.81 million tons of policy-based wheat stock in Xinjiang, and 251,000 tons of finished grain and oil stock held by key processing enterprises, wholesale markets and large supermarkets monitored by the Food and Strategic Reserves Administration of Xinjiang. The 88 flour processing enterprises and 47 edible vegetable oil processing enterprises under monitoring have a daily output of about 13,000 tons and 1,200 tons respectively, which can meet the current market supply demand.

On August 12, 2022, staff drove forklifts and quickly packed bags of flour onto trucks at the workshop of Xinjiang New Century Flour Co., Ltd. The flour will then be transported to major wholesale markets in Urumqi City.

“We have more than 40 workers to work in the factory, and the daily output of the flour production line reaches 400 tons, that is, more than 10,000 bags of flour, to ensure market supply and stabilize the grain and oil market.” said Li Tianyu, the general manager of Xinjiang New Century Flour Co., Ltd.

Sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, safflower oil produced by Xinjiang Haiao Oil Technology Development Co., Ltd. are also continuously sold to major supermarkets, vegetable stores and convenience stores in Urumqi City. At present, the company's production line has a daily production capacity of more than 100 tons and can produce more than 20,000 bottles of edible oil.

“As an enterprise supplying daily necessities to secure people's livelihood, it is our duty to stabilize production and supply. With the help of commerce and grain departments, we have applied to open a green channel for grain and oil transportation to effectively solve the problems of grain and oil production, sales and transportation,” said Qiao Yuanming, general manager of the company.

The relevant person in charge of the the Food and Strategic Reserves Administration of Xinjiang stated that they will continue to do a good job in specifying grain sources, coordinate the work of grain and oil processing, storage and transportation, distribution and supply, etc., strengthen the analysis and judgment of the grain and oil market, release information in a timely manner, respond to social concerns, and ensure sufficient supply of raw grains in the market, and ensure the finished grain and oil are not out of stock, so that the market supply is steady and orderly.
