After ten years of struggle, Gulnur Jumabek, a villager of Minma Ecological Village, Hanqiazitan Town, Manas County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China’s Xinjiang, has a "wonderful cause". After graduating from school in 2010, Gulnur worked as a typist and photographer. She also learned hairdressing skills because she loved beauty since childhood. In the past ten years, the rural areas of Manas County have witnessed great changes. Gulnur is optimistic about the prospects of rural development and has opened a small shop in front of her house.
