Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Xie Long) news: On August 15, 2023, staff members inspect the operation of equipment at the site of the Zhongzhou Converter Station ±800kV UHVDC transmission project of the State Grid of China. The south Hami-Zhengzhou ±800kV UHVDC transmission project is the first UHVDC project implemented by China for the Xinjiang's power transmission project, which involves the bundled transmission of large-scale fire, wind, and light power in the northwest region. The transmission line starts from Xinjiang Hami Tianshan Converter Station in the west and ends at Zhengzhou Converter Station in Henan Province in the east.

This project, known as the "Power Silk Road", connects the western energy base and the central economic highland, and provides strong power and energy support for the development of the Central Plains Economic Zone.
