In the Shaanxi Automobile Xi'an Commercial Vehicle Industrial Park, Ren Minkang, wearing a white gown, was shuttling through various parts warehouses.

Holding regular production meetings, checking orders, reviewing production plans, arranging vehicles, organizing materials, counting loaded parts... This is the daily work of Ren Minkang, director of the Xi'an office of Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company.

"From here, it took more than 80 hours to arrive in Urumqi. We must accurately prepare all the parts required by Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company, and one less screw will postpone the production schedule," Ren Minkang said.

Ren Minkang has been transferred from Shaanxi Automobile headquarters to the Xi'an office of Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company for 6 years. During this period, he was just getting busier and busier.

"Especially from 2021, more and more engines, cabs, gearboxes and other parts needed to be sent from here to Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company. As a result, I am just becoming busier," Ren Minkang said.

In 2011, Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company settled in Xinjiang, and since it was put into operation in 2012, it has produced and sold a total of 35,000 vehicles with an output value of 10.1 billion yuan.

"Since 2017, I have been shipping the heavy truck parts produced by Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company," Ren Minkang said proudly.

In 2013, the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed. As one of the first batch of finished automobile and parts exporters in China, Shaanxi Auto has seized the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road, fully integrated the superior resources of the international market, worked closely with excellent international partners, especially along the Belt and Road.

The Belt and Road Initiative was first implemented in Central Asia, which also serves as the traditional advantageous market for Shaanxi Automobile.

"In recent years, with the deepening of the joint construction of the Belt and Road, Xinjiang and the five Central Asian countries have become closer and closer in economic and trade exchanges, and consequently, Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company, which has settled in Urumqi, has earned the advantage of being in a favored position." Ren Minkang said that in 2021, Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company exported more than 300 vehicles to Central Asia, more than 1600 in 2022, and more than 2900 vehicles as of the end of August in 2023.

Today, Xinjiang gives full play to its unique geographical advantages, actively serving and integrating the region into the new development paradigm, doing a good job in opening up in accordance with its own realities, and developing itself into the gateway of the country's westward opening up.

From January to August, Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company produced more than 4000 vehicles, more than half of which were exported to Central Asia. Right at this moment, in Xinjiang's Alataw Pass, Horgos Port, and Baktu Port, our heavy trucks are driving out of the country.”

Although he is in Xi'an, Ren Minkang's daily work is closely related to Xinjiang. "In recent years, I have not only witnessed the development of Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company, but also witnessed the development of Xinjiang's foreign trade. Nowadays, the trade between Xinjiang and Central Asian countries is getting closer and closer, and the customs clearance efficiency of various ports is getting higher and higher, which provides a lot of convenience for the export of our heavy trucks. As a member of Shaanxi Automobile Xinjiang Company, I will continue to produce and prepare the required parts for the company in the future. After all, I am good at distributing goods," Ren Minkang said.
