Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Hei Hongwei) news: On November 8, 2023, at the Xinjiang cultural exchange pavilion of the sixth China International Import Expo, performers from the Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture Song and Dance Troupe, played musical instruments while performing the Kirgiz ethnic epic "Manas", one of the three oldest heroic epics in China in full costume.

"The CIIE" is a platform for exchanges and exhibits. Mamattursun Maman, a member of the Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture Song and Dance Troupe, said excitedly that he would do his best and let more people fall in love with Xinjiang.

At the Expo, the Xinjiang cultural exchange pavilion, displayed five intangible cultural heritage projects, including Atlas Silk weaving and dyeing techniques, Hotan jade carving, copper production techniques, pottery making techniques, and Kazak embroidery techniques, as well as other representative cultural and tourism resources and cultural products from all over the Xinjiang, attracting wide attention from both Chinese and overseas visitors. 

"I visited Xinjiang pavilion today and I'm very interested in those ethnic products." Feng Chenyang, an exhibitor from east China's Shandong Province, said he hoped that he could go to Xinjiang to experience the profound cultural heritage while seeking some cooperation opportunities.

In the Xinjiang cultural exchange pavilion, a VR interactive skiing experience area and an interactive photo-taking check-up place have been established, and methods such as virtual technology and scene restoration have been used to promote Xinjiang's winter tourism, sports events, desert cross-country, equestrian and other special tourism and sports projects, presenting the beauty of Xinjiang in an all-around way.

"I feel very good, Xinjiang has abundant ice and snow resources, and I plan to go skiing in Xinjiang this year." Liu Junbin, an exhibitor from east China's Fujian Province, said cheerfully after experiencing VR skiing.

In the exhibition area, jade, musical instruments and costumes with "Xinjiang elements" are popular among merchants from all over the world.

"Our trip was full of rewards, and a number of merchants signed orders with us." Hanati Wuleheman, head of the Hulalai Ethnic Handicraft specialized farmers' cooperatives in Urumqi County, Urumqi City, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, said the Kazak embroidery and felting products on display were particularly popular.

The Xipayi mouth rinse, toothpaste and other products under the Xipayi series exhibited by Xinjiang Xinqikang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has attracted many merchants to negotiate for business. Xipayi series products focused on the research of innovative traditional Chinese medicine (ethnomedicine), and applied the extraction of the core ingredient of gallnut into the oral care products under an exclusive patent.

Chen Ge, secretary of the board of directors of Xinjiang Xinqikang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and chief of the Xipayi brand, said that he wanted to show the charm of gallnut, a traditional Chinese medicine and ethnomedicine to the global audience through a platform offered by CIIE, and let the world see the cultural of traditional Chinese medicine and ethnomedicine of Xinjiang.

Compared with the previous sessions, the Xinjiang cultural exchange pavilion also set up a special negotiation area "Invest in Xinjiang", where they mainly displayed the investment environment and the overview of "eight industrial clusters" in Xinjiang. And they welcome multinational companies and entrepreneurs to communicate and establish cooperation on-site.
