Areas for direct trade between border residents allow vehicles from the Kazakhstan side to reach the processing enterprises, which greatly enhances the speed of border trading and maximizes the cost savings for the processing enterprises. As of the end of September 2023, 34,000 tons of agricultural products were imported, with a value of about 212 million yuan (about 29.18 million U.S. dollars). The company has realized a sales income of 184 million yuan (about 25.2 million U.S. dollars) and contributed to the employment of 145 people.
