This event has provided a platform for the South Korean people to have a deeper understanding of the wonderful singing and dancing and rich tourism resources of Xinjiang, and it was also good for them to have a good impression of Xinjiang. We hope that more tourists can come to Xinjiang and know this good place,” said Shen Xiaogang, cultural counselor of the Chinese embassy in South Korea and director of the China Cultural Center in Seoul.
The China Cultural Center in Seoul was established in 2004 and is the first established by China in Asia. It has a multifunctional hall, exhibition hall, cultural classroom, library, cooking classroom, etc. In the past 20 years, it has built an important bridge for exchanges and cooperation between China and South Korea in various fields by holding rich and colorful cultural activities and professional teaching and training activities.
In December 2022, the China Cultural Center in Seoul launched the activity “Xinjiang Overseas Promotion Week” online, promoting high-quality ice and snow tourism resources in Xinjiang through image exhibitions and video broadcasts. This has generated a positive response among the South Korean people, and many people are looking forward to visiting Xinjiang.
