Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Gao Feng) news: According to the Statistics Bureau of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, from January to October 2023, Xinjiang's total added value of industrial enterprises above a designated size increased by 5.5 percent on a yearly basis, with a growth rate that ranked 17th in the country.
From the perspective of industrial classifications, the added value of industries above designated size of the mining, manufacturing, and electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industries increased by 5.4 percent, 5.0 percent, and 7.8 percent, respectively year-on-year.

In terms of light and heavy industries, the added value of industries above designated size of light industry and heavy industry increased by 12.4 percent and 5.1 percent year-on-year, respectively.
In terms of economic types, the added value of industries above designated size of State-controlled enterprises, joint-equity enterprises, and private enterprises increased by 4.4 percent, 6.4 percent and 9.6 percent year-on-year, respectively, while foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-funded enterprises decreased 15.6 percent year on year.
In terms of different industries, 32 out of the 40 industry sectors recorded growth in the added value.
Among the major products, 60.3 percent of which see increase in production.
The statistics also show that from January to October, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises was 98.6 percent, and industrial enterprises achieved an export delivery value of 9.822 billion yuan (about 1.3735 billion U.S. dollars), a year-on-year increase of 7.9 percent.
