Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Chen Qiangwei) news: According to the Customs at Yining City, Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on July 4, 2024, Xinjiang Tianyun Organic Agriculture Co., Ltd. sent the first batch of 108.5 kg of fresh chilled salmon to Macao using a combined air and land transportation method. Compared with frozen salmon, the fresh chilled salmon from Xinjiang this time has higher demands for customs clearance time to ensure freshness.

Li Chunyu, general manager of Xinjiang Tianyun Organic Agriculture Co., Ltd., mentioned that the company's cumulative salmon catch this year has exceeded 2,000 tons, with a daily processing capacity ranging between 20 and 30 tons. The newly-built processing plant commenced operations in May, and it is expected to reach an annual processing capacity of 8,000 tons at full production. The company has participated in exhibitions in Southeast Asia, Spain, Saudi Arabia, and other places this year, aiming to export value-added products abroad.

Given that fresh chilled fish is perishable, Customs at Yining has streamlined the customs clearance process to ensure that the entire process, from applying for inspection to issuing certificates, takes no more than 30 minutes. Additionally, they have enhanced source supervision and established an end-to-end monitoring system to guarantee that all export aquatic products meet the food safety standards in the importing areas. In this way, fresh chilled salmon can be exported through the "green channel" for fresh and perishable agricultural products to ensure no delays in export.
