Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Otker Nijat) news: Located at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains, Caizigou Village, Yinggebao Township of Mulei Kazak Autonomous County, has beautiful scenery, making people feel quiet and pleasant. Artists from different places are attracted by its unique geographical style, agrestic breathing, and humanity. Over the years, artists have used various forms of artistic expression to record and pass on the natural scenery and life here, so that the village has come into the public eyes.

Since 2013, when Liu Liangcheng, a famous Chinese writer, and a group of artists have settled in the village, more artists have come to settle here, gradually forming a unique village of artists. The artists have created a large number of appealing works of art based on the pastoral landscape and folk customs here, which have greatly enhanced the popularity and influence of Cazigou Village.

As its popularity grows, Yinggebao's tourism industry is booming. Villagers have set up farmhouse, homestays, to provide tourists with special catering and accommodation services. Due to the enhancing ecological condition and booming tourism, the villagers have increased their incomes.

Nowadays, the township’s B&B industry presents a trend of cluster development. Up to now, the township has 70 B&Bs, and 207 people are directly engaged in the industry and more than 650 people from surrounding areas indirectly involved. Since the beginning of this year, the township has received 178,000 tourists and generated 23.4 million yuan (about 3.29 million U.S. dollars) in tourism revenue, accounting for 30 percent of the per capita net income of local farmers.

In order to further leverage the advantage of the artist village, the township has continuously increased its support for artistic creation and cultural industry, and built a leisure vacation tourism complex integrating leisure, farming experience, cultural exchange, Chinese classics learning, and folk custom exhibition. Relying on cultural landmarks such as the Liu Liangcheng Literature Museum, "Mu Lei Academy," and artists' studios, which are appealing to literature amateurs, rural cultural tourism has been lightened up with art, which helps rural revitalization and achieves the goal of promoting tourism with literature.
