Ahmed Soliman, Egyptian political commentator, stated that during his two visits to Xinjiang, China, he observed that the Uygur, Kazak, and other ethnic minorities have preserved their cultural identities in aspects such as dietary habits, attire, and language. He highlighted the Uygur Muqam art exhibition as particularly striking, which conveyed to him the genuine efforts China has made in safeguarding and perpetuating the cultures of its diverse ethnic groups. Drawing from his experience in Xinjiang, Soliman said that he was deeply touched by the harmonious coexistence of various ethnic groups and the colorful culture of Xinjiang, and he will pass on the beautiful and true scene of Xinjiang to more Egyptian people in the future.
Xu Jianying, research fellow from the Institute of Chinese Borderland Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said that for a long time, Xinjiang has guaranteed the right of all ethnic groups to use and develop their own spoken and written languages in accordance with the law, and at present, all ethnic groups in Xinjiang mainly use 10 spoken and written languages. Artists of various ethnic groups in Xinjiang have used multiple languages to carry out literary creation, published a large number of literary and artistic works, and even formed important schools, which have exerted great influence, such as "new frontier fortress poem" and "western literature in China."
At the forum, 11 experts and scholars from home and abroad shared their research results and true feelings on the protection, inheritance and innovation of ethnic cultures in Xinjiang from different perspectives, fully demonstrating the fact that people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang enjoy equal cultural rights and interests, and explaining the prosperity and development of Xinjiang's cultural undertakings from various aspects. This exposes the fallacy of the so-called "cultural genocide" in Xinjiang concocted by the anti-China forces in the West and the sinister scheme of using Xinjiang to contain China.
In recent years, Xinjiang has vigorously promoted cultural development and the prosperity of cultural undertakings, and ensured the inheritance and development of fine traditional cultures of all ethnic groups through local legislation. The ancient city of Gaochang, the Jiaohe ancient city, the ruins of the ancient city of Beiting, and the Kizil Grottoes have been inscribed on the World Cultural Heritage list, and the Uygur Muqam art 'Meshrep' and the Kirgiz epic poem of 'Manas' have been inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, taking the protection and inheritance of the cultural heritage of all ethnic groups to a new level.
