This 1.2-kilometer-long lane, with its century-old houses and ancient trees, retains the original layout of the old town of Kuqa City. However, it had previously declined due to dilapidated buildings and poor environmental conditions. After renovations and transformations, the lane now offers a scenic view at every step, preserving its historical charm while integrating new businesses and settings. Currently, Qiuci Lane has attracted 55 merchants specializing in handicrafts, homestays, catering, travel photography, and cultural creativity, generating employment for over 300 people.

"The ancient lane has been revitalized and is now filled with a festive atmosphere," said Zhang Bin, director of the Culture and Tourism Office of Sakesake Street.

Three thematic landscapes marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have been set up at the entrance and along the lane. Banners and posters are seen everywhere, and merchant electronic screens continuously play related videos, vividly showcasing the development and changes over the past 70 years. In addition to its renewed appearance, a variety of thematic activities are being held. On the evening of September 16, 2025, Sakesake Street launched the celebrations with an awards ceremony titled "Seven Decades of Forging Ahead, Working Together to Realize the Chinese Dream." Until October 8, surrounding squares will host sports competitions such as cockfighting, tug-of-war, and jump rope, feature live performances by professional bands playing songs like "I Love You, China," and organize interactive activities like treasure hunts and quiz games with prizes.
