Tuo Erbatu is a Greco-Roman wrestler with the Xinjiang Wrestling Team. This year is his 20th year in the sport. Inspired by his father, who was a folk wrestler, Tuo Erbatu has harbored an ardent passion for wrestling. In 2006, he went to Karamay to train.

As he left home, his father said to him, "Wrestling is a tough sport, so if you're going to do it, you should persevere. But if you can't handle this hardship, just give it up and come back. Do you have this determination?" "I have it. I will never give up," Tuo Erbatu answered firmly. These words greatly influenced him. His life motto is, "The only secret to success is never giving up until the clock runs out."

At the 13th National Games in 2017, the Xinjiang Wrestling Team won a gold medal for the first time in 34 years. Tuo Erbatu was the athlete who earned this gold medal, which was especially meaningful to him. At the 14th National Games, he won another gold medal with an excellent performance.

For Tuo Erbatu, wrestling is much more than a simple competition. It is a passion that is part of him.
