The Pallas's cat lives solitarily in rock fissures or repurposed marmot dens. It feeds mainly on small herbivores including various rodents, hares, and pikas. By controlling rodent populations, it helps prevent disease transmission and reduces crop damage caused by these pests. Thus, it plays a significant role in maintaining ecological balance by regulating small herbivore numbers.
