On October 22, 2025, in the Gobi desert of Kekeqiao Village, a large number of migratory birds linger by the shallow water or on the treetops, sometimes strolling on the shallows or rushing into the sky, frolicking leisurely in the tranquility of late autumn. The flocks of birds and the poplar trees and clear water reflected each other, forming a vibrant autumn scene.

In recent years, with the continuous advancement of ecological governance in Luntai County, the area has become an important supply station and habitat for migratory birds on their way south, thanks to its abundant water sources, rich food, and quiet environment. Every late autumn, migratory birds such as ruddy shelducks and grey geese arrive as scheduled, resting and foraging here to store energy for their southward migration.
