Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Hei Hongwei) news: The 17th Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair opened in Hong Kong, China, on November 6, 2025. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee (CCPIT Xinjiang) and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Forestry and Grassland Administration jointly brought 23 local wine producers to the event. That evening, they hosted a special promotional tasting dedicated to wines from Xinjiang. Using Hong Kong's global platform, they introduced the distinctive qualities and production capabilities of Xinjiang's wine industry to audiences at home and abroad, resulting in several on-site cooperation agreements.
The Xinjiang pavilion quickly became a highlight of the fair, drawing attention with its strong regional identity. Many professional buyers, attracted by the unique flavors of the wines, stopped to sample and learn more. Prior to the event, the CCPIT Xinjiang had arranged targeted meetings with business associations and trade promotion organizations in Hong Kong and Macau, successfully connecting local suppliers with potential buyers.

The event featured wines from several of Xinjiang's premium wineries. Guests gained a comprehensive understanding of the wines through presentations from producers, expert commentary by master sommeliers, and immersive tasting sessions, which highlighted the unique flavours and cultural background of the region. Several distribution and purchasing agreements were initiated on the spot.
Additionally, between November 6 and 8, 2025, the Xinjiang delegation will host two more promotional events, a masterclass tasting, and a session pairing local wines with regional cuisine in Hong Kong and Macau. These multi-faceted activities are designed to strengthen ties between Xinjiang's wine producers and the industry in Hong Kong, Macau, and beyond, raising the profile of the Xinjiang wine region internationally.
