The fourth session of the 14th People's Congress of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region opened on the morning of January 27 at the Xinjiang People's Hall.

"Xinjiang's openness will help to promote its all-round development in the future," noted Sabina Koirala Sharma, an associate researcher at the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. As an international researcher, she has gained firsthand insights into Xinjiang's development. By attending the sessions as an observer this time, she gained a clearer understanding that Xinjiang, as a multi-ethnic region, is advancing along a unique and inclusive path with the support of the state.
