Expat Eyes | Year of the Horse: Best wishes from around the world

Zywczok Jan Jakub

Polish international student at Beijing Language and Culture University

As we celebrate the Chinese Year of the Horse, my wish for everyone is that this year be the best it can possibly be.

Drawing from the Polish proverb which translates to "as healthy as a horse," I extend my wish for robust health to all. Beyond that, may you be as swift, strong, and unyielding as the steed in your pursuit of self-betterment. May we all strive to be kinder, more open-minded, and more progressive individuals.

Azong Nguetsop Daniel Lynda

Cameroonian singer, member of the Wuzhou Changxiang Singing Group

As for New Year resolutions, I believe the essence lies in "drawing a conclusion" and taking action. Let us resolve to tackle the things we have been putting off, those tasks we may not have wanted to do but knew we must.

In the spirit of the Chinese sayings, I wish you all:

"Tian Tian Xiang Shang"(天天向上) — May you keep improving every single day.

"Wan Shi Ru Yi" (万事如意)— May all your wishes come true.

"Xing Fu Kuai Le"(幸福快乐) — May you be blessed with happiness and joy.

I would like to extend my warmest wishes for a wonderful Chinese New Year. Happy Spring Festival to you all in this Year of the Horse!

May all your wishes and dreams come to fruition, and may you achieve great success in all your endeavors. Good health be with you always.

To every person dedicated to their chosen path or profession, may this year bring you fruitful and successful results.

Wishing you a magnificent and prosperous Year of the Horse! Happy Chinese New Year!
