Faces of Xinjiang: A Xinjiang Mountaineer's Bond with Peaks and Lives

Azguli Guji, a mother of two from Xinjiang, reached the summit of the 7,546-meter-high Muztagh Ata and became a legend. Her mountaineering experiences brought her face-to-face with the harshness of nature and the fragility of life. Inspired by this, she committed herself to rescue work.

For her, climbing is a journey of connecting with nature and pushing her own limits, while rescue is a profoundly meaningful mission to protect lives. Each ascent she makes and every hand she lends is, in her view, a true embrace of her dreams.
