Brandon, a New Yorker, has taught English at Bayi International High School in Urumqi, capital city of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, for many years. Known for his engaging teaching style, he has witnessed the city's transformation—from navigating by BRT when he first arrived in 2017 to riding the metro today. Whether savoring local flavors or enjoying Tianshan's scenery, he has made Xinjiang his home.
