Driving south along the Maqing Highway feels like entering a magnificent oil painting. Wild tulips covering the hills and fields resemble a vast golden carpet, stretching from the mountainsides all the way to the horizon. The blue sky, white snow, green grass, and golden blossoms create a richly colored and well-layered landscape, outlining a distinctive spring panorama.

Xinjiang tulips mostly grow on gravelly sandy land and sunny slopes of rocky low mountains at elevations of 1,000 to 1,300 meters. They bloom in early April each year, with a flowering period of about 15 to 20 days. In recent years, Manas County has continuously implemented ecological protection measures such as grazing bans and rotational grazing, leading to significant restoration of grassland vegetation. As a result, the distribution range of wild tulips has gradually expanded, making them a distinctive local natural landscape.
