RIO DE JANEIRO, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Former Brazil international forward Hulk has completed a move to Fluminense on a free transfer, the Brazilian Serie A club said on Tuesday.
The 39-year-old agreed to a contract that runs until December 2027 after parting ways with Atletico Mineiro by mutual consent.
"Hulk will arrive in Rio de Janeiro at the beginning of next week to join the squad and begin training," read a statement on Fluminense's official website.
Hulk scored 140 goals and provided 56 assists in 309 games for Atletico following his 2021 move from Shanghai Port. He helped the club win the 2021 Brazilian Serie A and Copa do Brasil titles as well as the 2022 Brazilian Super Cup.
"Hello, Fluminense supporters, I'm very happy to be part of this family," he said in a video posted on social media.
Hulk will be free to make his debut for Fluminense when the mid-season transfer window opens on July 20.
