Tap Dance Battle with Xinjiang Dap Dance — The Rhythm Is Absolutely Incredible

On May 19, the "5·19 China Tourism Day" series of events in Kashi Prefecture officially kicked off at the China Xinjiang Ethnic Musical Instruments Village in Shufu County. At the event, Mirezhati Wusuyin, dance choreographer of the Shufu County Afanti Song and Dance Troupe, and Wushanjiang Wuji teamed up to deliver a stunning Xinjiang hand drum "battle" tap dance performance that wowed the entire audience.

Mirezhati said that during his studies at the Beijing Dance Academy, he had learned tap dance and discovered that its rhythm paired perfectly with the beat of the dap (Xinjiang hand drum). So he and his colleague boldly innovated, skillfully fusing the two art forms together to create a unique spark.
