Tianshan Voice｜Xinjiang makes China more diverse

International friends from Brazil, the United States, Ecuador and Canada visited northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Their firsthand experiences have reshaped their perceptions of China.

At a local home in Emin County, Tacheng Prefecture, they enjoyed splendid songs and dances performed by people of Uygur, Kazak and Mongolian ethnic groups. The distinctive ethnic traditions amazed Brazilian travel vlogger Lipe Camanzano, who was struck by China's rich cultural diversity. By Sayram Lake, the powerful Mongolian throat singing touched Brazilian food vlogger Larissa Solaris deeply. American designer Nicki Johnson captured Xinjiang's stunning landscapes, unique musical instruments and traditional dances on camera. Ecuadorian legal scholar Nancy Carolina was greatly impressed by Alashankou Port. She saw efficient cross-border logistics and thriving trade boosted by the Belt and Road Initiative, and acknowledged Xinjiang's promising prospects in global economic cooperation. Canadian AI entrepreneur Alain Saas learned about Xinjiang's real progress from official books and reliable statistics.

Touring Urumqi, Tacheng Prefecture and Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, the visitors witnessed ethnic harmony and dynamic development across the region. They plan to share their experiences online to introduce this wonderful land to the world. From initial curiosity to sincere admiration, their journey fully shows that Xinjiang makes China more diverse.
