A Long Shot Comes Close (Episode 1)

In Hunan, there is a group of young girls who traveled all the way from Xinjiang for football. Fueled by their love for the sport and a desire to explore the world, they joined Xiangcheng Football Club, a non-profit organization in Xiangtan, Hunan Province.

They train with dedicated position coaches and never fall behind on their schoolwork, navigating the loneliness of being far from family alongside teammates who've become sisters. For them, football is never just about winning games. It is a journey that builds trust, teamwork and lasting personal growth far beyond the pitch.
