Maldivian journalist looks to Xinjiang for development insights

Ahmed Saail Ali, Managing Editor of SunOnline in the Maldives, came to Xinjiang for the Silk Road Economic Belt Joint Construction Countries' Media Head Seminar. During his visit, he toured several sites, including a CRCC factory and the Urumqi International Land Port Area. Ali noted that the Maldives shares a similarly strategic position at the crossroads of Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, and believes Xinjiang's experience offers useful reference for his own country.
