Greenhouse cowpeas take the stage for a "runway show"

On July 21, a "cowpea runway show" was held in Yigeziduwei Village, Aoyituogelake Township, Yutian County, northwest China's Xinjiang. The village currently has 25 arched greenhouses, with a total cowpea planting area of 10 mu. Verdant and plump cowpeas hung from the vines, and local farmers took part in the distinctive runway show carrying their bountiful harvest, creating a lively atmosphere at the scene. In recent years, the village has leveraged its facility greenhouses to develop the vegetable planting industry, continuously optimizing cultivation models and vigorously promoting specialty fruit and vegetable cultivation. This has steadily expanded income-generating opportunities for residents, turning the humble cowpea into a prosperous industry that drives sustained income growth for the villagers.
