GBA students: Xinjiang rocks! Literally

On the morning of August 25, 2026, the breeze from the mines of Koktokay in Fuyun County, Altay Prefecture, northwest China’s Xinjiang, carried a cool mountain air as it welcomed 40 young visitors.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao youth came to the No. 3 Mine site in Koktokay, Xinjiang's Altay, where they enjoyed the natural scenery and had an immersive experience of picking stones in the mining area.
