M. Karim Khalili
Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan
     M. Karim Khalili, bom in 1950, is the leader of the Hezb-e-Wahdat (Unity Party) of
Afghanistan. He was elected as second vice president of Afghanistan in 2004 and reelected in 2009.
     In 2005, Mr. Khalili a.ttended the Boao Forum for Asia in China and met China's Vice President
Zeng Qinghong. In 2009, he attended the prime ministers' meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation
Organization held in China and met Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. In 2010, he attended the Boao
Forum for Asia in China again and met China's Vice President Xi Jinping.

Tony Blair
former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
     Born in May, 1953, Edinburgh, Tony Blair graduated from St. John's College of Oxford
University majoring in law. He joined the Labour Party in 1975 and was elected to the House of
Commons in 1983. He served in succession as opposition spokesperson on treasury and economic
affairs, opposition spokesperson on trade and industry, and shadow energy secretary, shadow
employment secretary and shadow home secretary. He assumed leadership of Labour in 1994 and was
elected as Prime Minister in 1997. He was reelected in 2001 and 2005. Mr. Blair left office on June
27, 2007. He subsequently was selected by the quartet (the U.S., the European Union, Russia, and the
UN) to serve as special envoy to the Middle East. Mr. Blair is a board member of the World Economic
Forum. He also serves as senior advisor to JPMorgan Chase, advisor to Zurich Financial Services,
and a guest professor at Yale University.
