Tianshannet (Photos and Reporting by Journalist Li Zhigang) The signing ceremony between the 5th China-Eurasia Expo Urumqi Trade Group and the 4th Silk Road Economic Belt Cities Cooperation 2016 and Development Forum is held at Xinjiang International Exhibition Center, September 23, 2016.  And Urumqi gains economic cooperation projects and a name list of sister cities.

At the stage of sister cities signing, Urumqi city enters into an agreement enhancing the strategic cooperation framework agreement with Xining city, capital of China's northwest province, Qinghai, and into six sister cities agreement as well as letters of intent with in Russia, in Turkey, Kabul in Afghanistan, in Thailand, in Iran, and Karachi in Pakistan.
