About 59,000 hectares of red jujubes have entered harvest season in Hotan county, NW China's Xinjiang. Located at the south fringe of the Taklimakan Desert, Hotan is a major production base of red jujubes in China. Ample sunshine, little precipitation and a large temperature difference between day and night create a favorable environment for red jujubes.
