China's Xinjiang started to offer free universal health checks from October 2016 to improve people's health and reduce poverty. Urban and rural residents in the region are eligible for a free health checkup every year. Besides free health checkups for all, medical services including basic medical insurance and critical illness insurance have brought people a strong sense of fulfillment and happiness.
